    MEDA offers free services to low- and moderate-income families, with a geographic focus on the San Francisco Bay Area. Rooted in San Francisco’s Mission District, MEDA is advancing a national equity movement by building prosperity, community ownership and civic power. We envision generations of families choosing where to call home, thriving economically, succeeding in learning opportunities, and leading policy and social change toward a more equitable society.

    • Addressing the program gap found in rural places to ensure students have equitable access to resources

    • Aligning local, regional and national systems to ensure student success

    SBCS (formerly South Bay Community Services) transforms communities to support the well-being and prosperity of children, youth and families throughout San Diego County. Our services and supports — based in the strengths of local communities — assist those throughout the region reach their fullest potential and touch the lives of more than 50,000 each year.

    Omega Community Development Corporation is empowering families to break the cycle of generational poverty through cradle-to-career place-based services.

  • Northside Achievement Zone

    The Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) envisions a prosperous North Minneapolis — where all children of color are healthy, secure, and academically successful, ultimately realizing their unlimited potential. To that end, NAZ has built a prenatal-to-profession collaborative of 30+ nonprofits and educational institutions that have aligned programs and systems to provide holistic support to North Minneapolis scholars and their families.

  • Urban Strategies Inc.

    USI is a national “think and do” grassroots, full-service non-profit entity with extensive experience in the design and implementation of place-based human capital development strategies in communities that are undergoing comprehensive physical revitalization. Founded in 1978, USI is a leader in the field of community development, supporting more than 30,000 economically stressed families, approximately 100,000 individuals, in 60 communities in 41 major metropolitan areas. USI supports communities, the development of economic opportunities, cradle-to college/career success, access to high quality health services, and a range of comprehensives human service supports.
